Arise Virtual Solutions is a company that provides outsourcing services to top companies, allowing them to handle their call volume with ease. Arise then works with companies such as Headstart Essentials to find people who work from home and connect them with the clients in need of services. Once you certify for the company you choose to provide services to, you can start taking inbound customer service calls from the comfort of your home. The entire process is computerized, and you log into your computer and the clients’ systems to receive calls either through a headset connected to your computer or a phone line. You answer the calls as if you are working in a call center, providing customers with a level of service they can understand and appreciate. This opportunity is particularly beneficial for individuals who can’t work outside the home or need flexibility to balance work and family life. III. Can I work from anywhere?

You must legally reside and permitted to work in Canada and must be 18 years or older. You can provide your services from anywhere that is open to new applications. If you move, you are able to bring your work with you! How many jobs can you say that about?

IV. What are the costs to get started?

In order to partner with Headstart Essentials and be given the opportunity to provide your services to clients, you must complete the following which is considered your investment into your own business.

The following are the startup costs:

Certification Course for the client you choose are FREE!
$35 background check fee deducted by arise before you join the training/certification.
These fee’s are paid to Arise Virtual Solutions, not Headstart Essentials.

VI. What type of services will I provide as an Independent Contractor?

As an Independent Contractor with Headstart Essentials, you will have the opportunity to choose from various client programs, such as sales, customer service, technical support, email support, and chat support. You can select the client that best suits your skills and interests, allowing you to provide a more personalized and enjoyable service. Additionally, you will have the freedom to set your own schedule, avoid traffic jams, and work in the comfort of your own home, even in your PJ’s if you prefer. VII. How much can I earn as an Independent Contractor?

entirely up to you. You have the flexibility to choose the client you want to work with and set your own schedule, allowing you to work as much or as little as you want. You can opt for a client that offers higher compensation or one that provides more flexible working hours. Some contractors earn as little as $200 bi-weekly, while others make $1500 or more. It all depends on the client you choose and the amount of time and effort you put into the work.

VIII. What fees will I have to pay and why?

As an independent contractor working with Headstart Essentials, you will be required to pay a flat maximum fee of $40 per invoice. This fee includes the partner fee charged by Arise. We pay our contractors on the 15th and 30th of each month.

The service fee helps us cover our business costs, including partner fees, bank fees, software costs, and more. By paying this fee, we can provide you with support during the certification process and beyond, as well as help you get started with your new career. IX. Are we responsible for our own taxes?

As an authorized agent, independent contractor, sole proprietor, or freelancer, you are responsible for your own taxes. Headstart Essentials does not withhold any taxes on your behalf. At the end of the year, you will receive a T5 form for tax purposes.

Please note that as an independent contractor, you are not eligible for unemployment, overtime pay, or benefits.

It is advisable to consult with a tax specialist to understand the tax regulations and deductions available for independent contractors. They can guide you on what expenses you can write off and what deductions you are eligible for.

X. How long before I can start working and earning a paycheck?

The admissions process at Headstart Essentials is fast and efficient, taking as little as one day. Once you have completed the admissions process and joined our team, you will choose a client certification course. Typically, the course will start within 30 days, and can last anywhere from 3 days to 30 days, depending on the client. Once you have completed the certification, you can start working immediately.

Please note that as an independent contractor, the amount of time it takes to receive your first paycheck will depend on how quickly you complete the admissions process, choose a certification course, and become certified. Typically, it can take between one to two months to receive your first deposit.

However, once you start working, you have the flexibility to choose your own schedule and earn as much as you want, based on the client you choose to partner with and the amount of time you dedicate to working.

XI. Will I be paid during certification?

During the certification process, you will not receive payment from Headstart Essentials or their partner, Arise Virtual Solutions unless its part of the Production servicing. However, once you are certified, you can start providing services to clients and earning a paycheck. The time it takes to complete certification varies by client program and can range from a few days to several weeks. Headstart Essentials can provide support and guidance during the certification process to help you succeed.

XII. What are the steps to get started?

Follow each step carefully here.
Make sure you have a working computer that will meet Headstart Essentials’s guidelines. See technical requirements here.
Purchase a USB headset for your certification class and for servicing most clients. This is a headset that plugs into your computer.
You will receive an email once you have chosen a client with links to fill out your affidavit of ID, proof of servicing address, proof of identity, etc. These forms must be completed before you are allowed to service a client.
